Class 52(2) A chair or settee, collapsible by dissembling the parts has wooden side frames 10 with metal plates 23 having tapped holes and plates 26 with keyhole slots, a wooden back-rest member 19 with metal plates 29 carrying headed studs to engage the slots in plates 26 and a metal seat frame 16 of angle section bar having wooden frame members 18 secured thereto by screws and being itself secured to the side frames by screws 24 passing into plates 23, Fig. 4. The frame 16 also carries studs 22 which pass through apertures 21 in the back rest.
