Class 52(2) A pivot, which enables the combined seat and back unit of a dining chair to be lowered rearwardly to form a reversely facing easy chair, rides in a slot 4 to permit a peg at the junction of the seat and back unit to enter a slot 6 and retain the unit in the upper position. Reference is made to the use of this construction in a settee.
