Class 52(2) An arm chair with a back 2 and seat 3 movable into a reclining position has a movable leg rest consisting of a board 4 supported by an elongated member 5 connected to a member 6 concealed beneath seat 3 but slidable by means of shoes 9 engaged in grooves 10 in a frame 13 provided at the lower part of seat 3 and a gap is thus provided, in the position of use, between the board 4 and the seat 3 at one side. Alternatively member 5 may engage board 4 centrally leaving a gap either side.
