586,739. Heating air. PARKINSON, H. W. July 29, 1944, No.'14528. [Class 64 (iii)] A combined air heater and fuel economiser for a domestic grate comprises a hollow firebrick H, Figs. 1, 8, and a sheet-metal box supported by the brick and provided with air inlet and outlet tubes L, M, respectively. The edges J, K of the box are engaged with the grooves A and the rabbet B of the box and sealed with fireclay. The air inlet is fitted with a telescopic tube W having end apertures X controlled by a rotatable slotted disc, and the outlet with an adjustable extension P having nested inserts T.
