[Also in Group XIII] In a domestic fireplace, a hot water boiler d, having a vertical and preferably substantially central flue e extending therethrough, comprises a vertical front wall portion i, a forwardly inclined portion j and a rearwardly inclined portion k, the inclination of the portion j being continued over the portion k by a firebrick (not shown) or a cast iron plate m with packing or heat insulating material n behind it. A flue o associated with an ashshedding plate f leads from the firespace to the flue e and supporting flanges (not shown) are located on the boiler sides near its lower end. The portion j is preferably inclined at 153 degrees to the vertical. A damper h controlling the flue e is slidable in inverted L- section guides g by means of an adjustable handle p.
