[Class 123 (ii)] The flow of heating gases over U-shaped boiler tubes C enclosing a byepass flue tube D is controlled by interconnected dampers E, G, Fig. 1, the pivoted damper E controlling the flow through 'the byepass tube and the slidings damper G 'controlling the flow from the tube space around the tube to the exit N. The byepass tube R, Fig. 3, is adapted to be slid between a fixed baffle T and the inner end of the exit X. Specification 244,931, [Class 123 (ii)], is referred to.
