Abstract
584,628. Two-stroke gas engines. CROSSLEYPREMIER ENGINES, Ltd., and YEATES, A. C. Jan. 12, 1945, No. 1015. [Classes 7 (ii) and 7 (vi)] A two-stroke internal-combustion gas engine has separate air and gas admission ports b and c, respectively, which are opened simultaneously by the piston, air immediately flows but the gas is not admitted through the governor controlled valve d until such a time as the gas will not reach the exhaust valve before it closes. The valve d is worked by the cam h, Fig. 3 through the rocker arm g whose fulcrum, - and therefore the amount of opening of the valve, is varied by rotating the governor controlled arm k about its point of rotation i.
