584,124. Pulverulent-fuel burners. FORGINGS & PRESSWORK (BIRMINGHAM), Ltd., EVANS, K. W., and HULME, G. W. Jan. 3, 1945, No. 14461/46. Divided out of Complete Specification of 578,239. [Class 75 (i)] A burner for pulverulent fuels comprises an inner tube 49 supplied with a mixture of gaseous fuel and air, an outer tube 41 supplied with secondary air through an outlet 47, and angularly spaced tubes 37 supplied with a mixture of pulverized fuel and air through a casing 42 having an inlet 45 all the tubes providing straight, unobstructed non-whirling paths to the combustion point. The tubes 37 are welded to a plate 38 bolted between the tube 41 and casing 42 and extend slightly beyond the tube 41.
