583,755. Cartons. FREEMANTLE, H. R. Nov. 29, 1944, No. 23802. [Class 66] A carton for liquid or powdered foodstuffs &c. has a slit unsealed by ripping off an adhering metal foil or fabric strip or paper tape, the walls being then pressed so that the part 19 bulges outwardly to form a pouring spout. The carton is of waxed paper or board and its upper end may be gussetted at 12 and sealed at 15 by folding an extended flap of the back wall over the walls, again folding downwardly and pressing, with or without heating.
