Abstract

559,274. Milk &c. cartons. WARE, H. M. Oct. 11, 1942, No. 12810. [Classes 18, 66 and 94 (ii)] One or both ends of a paper or like carton of square or rectangular form for containing liquid such as milk, powder &c. are scored or creased as shown in Fig. 1 so as to fold in the ' manner shown in Fig. 2, the upstanding lips 5, 6 being thereafter turned down to lie against the flattened end and the projecting triangular flanges then folded either r downwardly against the side walls or inwardly to lie on the folded end portion. The lips 5, 6 may be sealed together by heat, adhesive, or by means of a metal clip, and the two layers forming the triangiular flaps may also be sealed together.
