Abstract

582,318. Cavity resonators. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd. (International Standard Electric Corporation). Sept. 21, 1944, No. 18081. [Class 40 (iii)] In an ultra-short wave oscillator which comprises a vacuum tube 28 mounted within coaxial lines 10, 16 whose outer conductors are connected at 22, the inner conductors consist of a cylinder 20, which grips the cathode shell 26, and a rod 14 which grips the anode connector 42. The grid-ring 38 is gripped by spring fingers on a disc 34 which forms, with the outer conductors at 22, a condenser 39. Tuning is varied by moving the annular bridge conductor 30 and annular condenser 47.
