582,002. Windings for dynamoelectric machines. AKT.-GES. BROWN, BOVERI, & CIE. Dec. 13, 1943, No. 20853. Convention date, Dec. 1]. 1942. Addition to 570,328. [Class 35] In an A.C. commutator motor with main and auxiliary windings connected to the same segments as claimed in the parent Specification, a turn of either winding or of both windings collectively embraces over 180 electrical degrees on the core and this applies throughout the winding. Both may be wave, both lap or alternatively a lap wound auxiliary winding may be used with a wave wound main winding. In the form shown in Fig. 1, the outermost conductors of the group consisting of main coils A1, B1, A2 and auxiliary coils H1-H4 are in slots 1 and 17 which is a span in excess of the pole-pitch which in this case is 10¢ slot pitches. In Fig. 6, both outermost conductors are coil sides of the main winding and are 14 slot pitches apart which again exceeds the pole-pitch T.
