Abstract

581,426. Separating ashes &c. from combustion gases. VON ROLL AKT.-GES. FUR KOMMUNALE ANLAGEN, L. May 10, 1944, No. 8892. Convention date, May 12, 1943. [Class 51 (i)] Flue dust &c. is separated from combustion gases of firing plants by a cyclone type of separator, the gases passing from a furnace 1 to a separator 3 having a funnel-shaped deposition chamber 4. The purified gas is led through a central tube 6 to a smoke tube boiler 8. The separators may be lined with heating or cooling pipes, and may be arranged 'in parallel banks to deal with large volumes of gases.
