Abstract

729,086. Pulverulent-fuel cyclone furnaces. BABCOCK & WILCOX, Ltd. Jan. 29, 1953 [Jan. 29, 1952], No. 2552/53. Class 51 (1). A cyclone furnace 11 is fired by fuel pre-dried by a mill-dryer 5, a coarse-particle separator 7 and a fine-particle separator 13 for separating fuel from the entraining gas, the separated fuel and the entraining gas and dust being led separately to the cyclone furnace. The separators 7 and 13 are respectively provided with bunkers 8 and 14 from which fuel is supplied to the furnace. Furnace grits separated in a separator 21 are collected in a bunker 24 from which they are delivered to the bunker 14 or to the furnace.
