Abstract

581,052. Valves. WEIR, Ltd., G. & J., and HILLIER, H. Aug. 9, 1944, No. 15187. [Class 135] A check valve, particularly for use in hydraulic pumps, comprises a plane faced valve disc 12 co-operating with a plane seating and having a rear recess 14 formed by a coned rim which interacts with a tapered recess in a cover or plug 17 to limit both the lift and lateral movement of the valve disc. A spring 15 may be accommodated in the recesses of the plug and disc. A similar disc valve 6 co-operating with a plug member 10 is provided in the suction intake 3. A plurality of valve members may be provided forming a multiple valve assembly. Specification 534,109 is referred to.
