Abstract

575,319. Radial cylinder hydraulic motors. VICKERS-ARMSTRONGS, Ltd., NAYLOR, J. C., and HOLDEN, W. C. Oct. 27, 1943, No. 17751. [Class 69 (ii)] [Also in Group XXVIII] In a radial-cylinder hydraulic motor, each piston 4 is formed with a partspherical protuberance 6 which engages directly in a part - spherical seating formed in a slipper 8 which engages an eccentric 9, means being provided between the eccentric and the pistons to maintain contact of the protuberances with the settings. Fig. 1 shows two L section retaining rings 13 engaging the correspondingly curved stepped ends 14 of pins 5 disposed transversely of the pistons 4. In Fig. 3, the pins 5 carry rollers 20 to engage arcuate grooves in the slippers 8. In a further modification, both the pins and the rollers have reduced diameter ends.
