The engaging surfaces of the cam 2 and member 3 or extensions 7 and 8 may have a layer of metallic material to prevent seizure. The internal diameter of the extension 7 is less than the diameter of the sliding surfaces of members 4 and 5, so that the hydraulic pressure in working chamber 14 biases the members 4 and 5 apart to engage cam 2 and member 3.
