572,615. Securing pulleys &c. to shafts. ALLIS-CHALMERS MANUFACTURING CO. Sept. 13, 1943, No. 14973. Convention date, Oct. 29, 1942. [Class 80 (ii)] A pulley sheave 2 or other member is secured to a shaft 9 by a split sleeve 10 having a coned perimeter engaging a conical bore 12 in the hub 4 of the sheave. One end of the sleeve 12 is reduced in size and receives a flange member 17 which is retained thereon by a spring ring 16. Screws' 19 in holes 18 in the flange 17 force the sheave 2 on to the sleeve 10. The sheave may be detached by bolts which pass through holes 20 in the flange and screw into holes 7 in the hub 4. Longitudinal keys may be provided between the sleeve 10 and the hub 4 and shaft 9.
