556,389. Claunps. EVANS, W. J. Feb. 23, 1942, No. 9996/43. Divided out of 556,898. [Class 44] [Also in Group XXIV] A collar 11a, pulley, or like member to be fixed to a shaft or tube has a shallow eccentric recess 18 in an end face in which fits a disc 11b with an eccentric periphery. The outer face of the disc 11b is substantially flush with the end face of the collar and means is provided, e.g. pin spanner holes 19 for turning the collar and disc (relatively to one another to lock them to the shaft. As shown, the disc 11b has also an eccentric annular projection 113 which enters a corresponding recess 13 in the collar. Means for locking the collar and disc together after clamping may be provided. The disc may be replaced by two discs of differing diameters and they may be rotated in opposite directions when clamping. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 20204/06, [Class 44].
