592,912. Wheel mounting. DODGE MANUFACTURING CORPORATION. June 7, 1945, No. 14404. Convention date, June 7, 1944. [Class 80(ii)] In a means for mounting a wheel on a shaft, a split conical sleeve 3 is forced into engagement between shaft 5 and a conical bore in the wheel hub 2, by a plurality of set-screws 7 which engage with thread segments 8 in the hub and bear against shoulders 11 on the sleeve. Further holes, partially threaded in the sleeve and clearing, but provided with shoulders, in the hub, are provided for extracting the sleeve for dismounting the wheel.
