Abstract

567,240. Pressure gauges. GRANT, C. R. A. April 8, 1943, No. 6656. [Classes 106 (ii) and 106 (iv)] A pressure gauge of the type in which a pressure-responsive element is connected to a pointer 1 by a quadrant (not shown) engaging a pinion 3 on. the pointer spindle, the pointer and quadrant being carried on a mounting movable on a fixed support 7 to adjust the pointer, is characterised in that the mounting, which comprises two spaced plates 4 (one only being shown) is pivotally attached to the fixed support 7 by a rotatable member 8 having an eccentric portion 12 engaging a hole in the plate 4, the plate being locked in its adjusted position by a screw 15 passing through a slot 14 in the plate. After rotation of the member 8 to adjust the mounting, the member is locked by a screw 17 passing through a back plate 10 to the fixed support 7.
