Abstract

1,243,983. Adjustable hinges. J. BLUM. 19 Nov., 1968 [20 Nov., 1967], No. 54912/68. Heading E2F. In an adjustable hinge at least one of the hinge members comprises a base plate 1 for attachment to an article and having projections 2 which extend into an aperture in the plate. In this aperture is slidably mounted a shim 4 with a tapped bore 6 and projections 5 complementary to those on the base plate. A mounting plate 7 carrying the hinge pin 8 at one end and having a projection 12 at the other engages with the tapped bore 6 in the shim by means of a screw 10 engaged in a slot 11 in the mounting plate. The slot 11 allows relative adjustment of the plates at right angles to the hinge pin. The relative inclination of the two plates can be adjusted by screw 9.
