Abstract

1322428 Hinge mounting AUG WINKHAUS 7 July 1971 [4 Sept 1970] 31940/71 Heading E2F A hinge mounting for an eye-socket and pin take-off type hinge for a door comprises a bearing member 11 on which the door rests in use, a hinge pin 12 projecting from member 11 to cooperate with a socket carried by the door, a supporting shank 13 of non-circular cross-section projecting from member 11 to be inserted in a seating 14 located behind a hole in the door frame, the shank when inserted being non-rotatable in the seating, and a clamping screw 21 acting on a clamping plate 22 which bears against the shank to clamp the shank against longitudinal displacement in the seating. The position of the hinge pin is thus adjustable, the shank being clamped against displacement when the pin is in the correct position.
