A rod (not shown) more particularly the pivot rod of an automobile window, is rotatably supported in a device comprising two separately formed sheet metal parts 1, 5 each having a semi-cylindrical groove 2, 6 and adapted to be secured in face to face relation so that the grooves co-operate to form a socket, the part 1 having a reversely bent portion 3 at one end adapted to grip resiliently the end of the other part and means, e.g. a screw 15, being provided for drawing the parts together to resiliently grip the rod. Lugs 13 are provided on projections 12 on the part 5 for attaching the device to a support.
