Abstract

1,253,789. Clamps. F. A. TOURNIERBILLON. 10 July, 1970 [22 Sept., 1969; 25 Nov., 1969], No. 33560/70. Heading E2B. [Also in Division A4] A hair slide comprises a top 2, a clasp 3 hinged to a pivot housing 6 on one end of the top and held closed at the other end by a hook 5, and an intermediate fork 4, the top, clasp, and fork are made of moulded plastics material, the pivot housing and hook being formed with the top. The base 7 of the hook 5 is made thin to allow the flexibility necessary in its use. The fork 4 is held in place between the top 2 and pegs 12 on the base 6a of the pivot-housing and the base 5a of the hook. A decorative plate 13 of plastics material is attached to the top 2 by a metal staple 14, Figs. 5 and 6 not shown. The fork may be corrugated, Figs. 8 and 9 not shown, the corrugation at each end being larger than the rest, that at the end near the hook 5 providing a stop and that at the end near the pivot housing providing an assistance to opening the clasp when the hook is released.
