1,031,929. Double glazing; clips. J. F. FINNEGAN & CO. (SHEFFIELD) Ltd. April 30, 1965 [Feb. 25, 1964], No. 7709/64. Headings E1R, E2B. In double glazing, a glazing sheet 5 fitted in a resilient channel 7 is secured to a screw 10A on a window frame 1 by a clip having a longitudinal slot 13 and a cavity 14 open at one end for slidingly receiving the head and stem of the screw. The surface 17 of the clip may be wedge-shaped and serrated to grip the sealing channel. The screw head engaging surface of the cavity may also be wedge-shaped. The clip may be made of plastics or of metal.
