Abstract

1,215,787. Cutting tools. MIRCONA AB. 30 May, 1969 [13 June, 1968], No. 27600/69. Heading B3T. A tool holder comprises a shank portion 2 of rectangular cross-section on one side of which is secured a cutting tip supporting plate 3, the plate being mountable in either of two alternative positions on the one side of the shank thereby facilitating two alternative mounting positions for the cutting tip 4. The supporting plate 3 is provided with a tongue 8 which engages in a longitudinal slot 7 in the side of the shank and is secured by a screw 13. The cutting tip is secured to the support plate by a clamp 11 and is located in a recess formed between the side of the shank 2 and the inclined top surface of the supporting plate.
