Abstract

1,258,137. Invisible twin-link hinge. K. LAUTENSCHLAGER Jnr. 20 Feb., 1969 [18 March, 1968], No. 9261/69. Heading E2F. A hinge for attaching a door 1 to a cupboard wall 2 comprises a member 3 hinged to a channel-shaped member 4 by two links 6 and 7. The base 15 of the member 4 is secured to a mounting plate 5. An adjusting screw 17 in screw-threaded engagement with member 4 abuts a mounting screw 9 or the mounting plate 5 and so enables adjustment of the position of the member 4, and thus the pivots 11 and 10, relative to the mounting plate 5 in a direction perpendicular to the plane of the plate 5. Longitudinal adjustment of the member 4 with respect to the mounting plate 5 is possible by removing screw 19. The member 3 may be made of plastics. A plastics strip 8 may be clamped between the plate 5 and the wall 2.
