Abstract

1467598 Hinges RICHARD HEINZE 26 Feb 1975 [14 March 1974] 8097/75 Heading E2F A hinge comprises a first leaf 1 having stepped arm portions 3, 4 each terminating in a bush 5 for a hinge pin, and a second leaf 6 which has bush 7 for the hinge pin on the end of a bent arm portion which extends from a U-section mounting arm 8; the arm 8 being adjustably attached to a mounting plate (not shown) and the leaf 1 being designed to fit into a recess 10 in a door 11 to be hinged. Portions 13, 14 of the arms 3, 4 engage the sides of the recess 10 and a cross-piece 2 between these arms extends across the recess. In a further embodiment (Fig. 2, not shown) two first leaves 1 are each pivotable with respect to a central second leaf 6 about a common hinge pin. In this arrangement the mounting arm 8 is secured to a middle wall of an article of furniture.
