Abstract

1365474 Hinges SINTACEL Ltd 16 March 1973 12694/73 Heading E2F A hinge is formed from two hinge members each as shown in Fig. 1, linked by a pivot pin 16; each member comprising a flap 10 having parallel surfaces 11, 12 with a blind screw-threaded attachment hole opening in surface 11, and hinge pin bearings 13 which define a pivot axis spaced from the surface 11 in a direction towards the surface 12 by a distance equal to (as shown) or greater than the spacing between the surfaces to enable the assembled hinge to be pivoted through 270‹ from a position in which the two surfaces 12 are parallel. The hinge is particularly suitable for attaching a door 19 to a cupboard to enable the door to be pivoted from the closed position shown in Fig. 5 to a fully folded back open position; attachment screws 20 being inserted from the inside of door and cupboard.
