Abstract

1,066,710. Furniture hinges. R. KRAUSE K.G. Dec. 23, 1965 [Jan. 23, 1965], No. 54649/ 65. Heading E2F. A wide angle furniture hinge for connecting a door 2 to a furniture body 1 comprises two closely spaced bent links 4 and 5 adapted to rock about axes 6 and 7 respectively on the door, the outer link 4 being connected to the furniture body by rocking levers 10 and 13 pivoted to the body at points 11 and 14 respectively and to the link 4 at points 12 and 15, and the end of the inner link 5 remote from the door being pivoted to the lever 10. The arrangement is such that when open the door 2 does not, as a result of its opening movement, make impact with or bear against the closed door 17 of a closely adjacent cupboard. The outer link may have stamped sides rivetted together or may be of pressure coat zinc, a plastic cover may be fitted.
