Abstract

1331123 Concealed spring hinge ARTURO SALICE SpA 4 June 1971 [9 Nov 1970 29 March 1971] 18917/71 Heading E2F A device for holding a door closed incorporated in a concealed twin link hinge comprises a V-shaped flexure spring 5 having an eyelet 6 at its apex by which said spring is attached to one of the four pivot pins of the links 3, 4. The spring 5 is secured to a bifurcated link 4, and engages a sharp corner 14 on link 3, which acts as a lever against the spring 5. The spring may be a metal strap or made from wire, and the link 3 may either have a sharp corner formed by means of a block inserted into the link or a tongue formed integrally with the link.
