A hinge intended particularly for fixing a door 11 to a piece of furniture 12 comprises two hinge members 1, 2 connected by arms 4, 5 to form an articulated quadrilateral and overcentre spring means situated at least partly in a hollowed out portion 3 of one of the members and adapted to urge the members towards either their open or closed position. Preferably the spring means is constituted by the arm 5 one end 5<SP>1</SP> of which reacts against the edge of the hinge member 1.
