Abstract

1,267,439. Hinge with catch; catches. FRANZ HETTICH K.G. 8 Dec., 1969 [18 Dec., 1968], No. 59756/69. Headings E2A and E2F. A twin-link hinge comprising two hinge arms 1, 2 pivoted on axes 3, 4, 5 and 6a includes a catch to retain the door 11 of a piece of furniture in the closed position until a pivoting force is applied to it. The catch comprises the end 8a of the arm 2 cooperating with a roller 10 rotatably mounted on a spindle 13 guided in slots 12 and biassed towards the end 8a by means of a torsion spring 14. In a modification (Fig. 3) the roller (20) may be mounted on one end of a lever (22) which is pivoted at its other end.
