Abstract

1415871 Snap hinges JULIUS BLUM GmbH 6 Dec 1972 [16 Dec 1971] 56416/72 Heading E2F A snap hinge particularly for furniture doors comprises a spring biased pivotable segment 5 which has a recess 9 into which a bearing pin 11 engages when the door is closed, the segment 5 and the spring 7 pivoting from the open position shown in Fig. 3 to that shown in Fig. 1 upon closing of the door. The spring 7 is mounted on a guide bolt 6. In the closed position of the door, Fig. 1, the spring 7 and the segment 5 resist initial opening of the door until a certain force is applied, then the door "snaps" open.
