Abstract

1,239,912. Door hinge. EPSOM CABINET WORKS Ltd. 21 June, 1968 [22 March, 1967], No. 13393/67. Heading E2F. A door hinge comprises two hinge flaps 2, 4 jointed by a knuckle 6, wherein each of the hinge flaps includes a first flat part 8, 14 extending from the knuckle and a second flat part 10, 16 extending normal to the first flat part and from the edge 12, 18 thereof remote from the knuckle, the hinge flaps in the closed position of the hinge being disposed so that the first parts of the flaps lie alongside one another as do the second parts of the flaps, and the knuckle lies wholly on the same side of the first flat part of each hinge flap as the second flat part thereof. As shown in Figure 1, the first and second parts of the hinge flap 4 are apertured to receive the first and second parts respectively of hinge flap 2 so that in the closed position of the hinge, the first parts of the hinge flaps are co-planar as are the second parts.
