Abstract

1,156,736. Door seals. RAVEN BROS. PTY Ltd. 30 Oct., 1967 [31 Oct., 1966], No. 49221/67. Heading E1J. A hinged. flap door seal comprises an attachment strip 1, screwed to the door via slots 6 (as shown) or apertures, and having a curled upper edge 3 and an upper flange 4 co-operating with the door 5, in combination with a movable strip 10 carrying a flexible sealing strip 14, the curled upper edge 11 of the strip 10 co-operating, with the edge 3 to form a hinge, the movable strip 10 being, attached to the attachment strip 1 by a wire 16 acting as a torsion spring to urge the strip 10 into a position angled down and away from the door 5. A stop 17 (Fig. 3, not shown) on the door jamb co-operates with the strip 10 to operate the seal when the door is closed, and a sealing strip may be incorporated in the channel-sectioned portion 21 (Fig. 2, not shown) of the attachment strip 1, to cooperate with the door.
