Abstract

1347492 Window hinges; window stops HARDALL Ltd 4 Feb 1972 [4 Feb 1971] 3904/71 Headings E1J and E2F In a window assembly in which a window 40 has a vertical beaded portion 46 hingedly engaged in a channel 48 on an adjacent support, stop members 52, 54, fixed to support and window respectively, have portions 56, 58 which extend at right angles to the plane of the window; portion 56 underlying portion 58 to support the weight of the window during opening. Preferably the stop members are engaged even when the window is fully closed and member 54 extends a sufficient distance to abut the support when the window is at or near the normal fully opened position. The support may be a window frame or an adjacent fixed window.
