Abstract

1485024 Doors JOSEF GARTNER & CO 19 Nov 1974 [21 Nov 1973] 50056/74 Heading E1J A door comprises a leaf 1 with a side edge adjacent a jamb surface 7 defining a doorway, the side edge carrying a sealing strip 11 with a curved lip which engages the surface, the door hinge axis 5 being on the convex side of the seal. The edge and surface are spaced so as to prevent trapping of fingers. The leaf may be part of a folding door assembly with pairs of adjacent doors (1, 2 or 3, 4) hinged together, gaps between the leaves and free edges of adjacent leaves being closed by similar seals.
