Abstract

1,168,852. Demountable hinge; stud and socket fasteners. KUNSTSTOFF G.m.b.H. 21 March, 1967 [24 March, 1966], No. 13174/67. Headings E2B and E2F. A readily removable hinge, e.g. for furniture, comprises one hinge arm 13 attachable by screws 34 to a mounting member 27 already attached to one of the wings, the said hinge arm being pivotally connected to the other arm 12 which is integral with an insert member shaped to fit into a corresponding housing 11 fixed to the other wing. Stop ledges 29 and 32 on the insert member may be forced past the inwardly directed retaining springs 16 and 18 (see Fig. 4, not shown) which then hold the insert member until released by forcing a screwdriver or the like through the gaps 33 in the ledges 29 and 32.
