Abstract

564,159. Pressure gauges. GRANT, C. R. A. Jan. 7, 1943, No. 343. [Class 106 (ii)] In a pressure gauge, the Bourdon tube 2 with its connected mechanism and pointer 4 are carried on a tube 8 passing through a central hole 10 in the back of the instrument casing 1, the casing being rotatable relative to the tube 8 for the purpose of adjusting the pointer 4 against the scale 5 fixed in the casing 1. The tube 8 is locked in its adjusted position by a member 11 threaded on the tube. A stop 12 prevents the member 11 from being screwed too far away from the casing 1 when the adjustment is being made. The front of the casing 1 is closed by a glazed frame 6.
