Abstract

591,684. Gauges. GRANT, C. R. A. May 2, 1945, No. 11158. [Classes 106 (ii) and 106 (iv)] A pressure gauge wherein the pointer is connected to a pressure responsive element, through a pinion and pivotally mounted quadrant, the pointer, pinion and quadrant all being carried by a mounting which is movable on a fixed support has a resetting means as shown in Fig. 3. The bush 6 fits in the hole 10 of the fixed support 5 and the hole 14 of the mounting plate 4. The collar 17 of a pillar 18 engages the hole 16 of the fixed support while an eccentric pin 20 at one end of the pillar engages a slot 21 in the mounting plate 4, the major axis of the slot being radial of the centre of the bush hole. A locking screw 23 engages with a nut 25 through an arcuate slot 2.7 in the mounting plate. The centre of curvature of the arcuate slot 27 is the centre of the bush hole 14. A second screw 12 holds the mounting plate 4 in position relatively to the support 5. If the adjustment has to be made from the rear, the collar of the pillar is eccentric and engages a slot in the mounting plate, while the pin is axial and engages a hole in the fixed support.
