Abstract

563,230. Electrostatic precipitation apparatus. OZONAIR, Ltd., and COWELL, E. F. W. Feb. 15, 1943, No. 2471. [Class 39 (i)] Electrical dust precipitation apparatus comprises a casing a open at front and back and housing plate electrodes b, c arranged in fore and aft positions. The plates b, which form the discharge electrodes, are supported and spaced by notched insulators e, f, and are provided with lugs to which the supply terminal rod k is secured. The plates c which form the collecting electrodes are made of mesh material and are clamped between U-shaped sections n bolted together to form a trough containing liquid which provides a continuous stream over the electrodes. The plates are clamped at their lower ends between bars q and are tensioned by bolts t. The bottom of the casing is formed as a trough v.
