Abstract

1,145,526. Electrostatic precipitators. INSTITUT FUR INDUSTRIEANLAGENMONTAGEN UND STAHLBAU. 25 Nov., 1966, No. 52788/66. Heading B2J. A gas purification plant, particular an electrostatic precipitator has a main cross frame 5, Fig. 1, and uprights 6 and a casing 3 formed by plates 4 of heat insulating and flexible material assembled to provide compensation for expansion, the main supporting structure being rigidly connected to the casing at the plate joints. Each plate 4 comprises a bent elastic plate strip 8, Fig. 4, with an insulating coating 9 and a cladding plate 10. Air may be used in a gas tight construction of plate to provide insulation. Expansion joints 11, Fig. 5, are provided between the plates. Large width casings are supported by movable aenodynamicatty-profiled rocker posts 18. Spray frames 25 and/or filter plates 26, Fig. 7, may also be provided.
