Abstract

783,489. Electrostatic precipitation. AIRMAZE CORPORATION. Dec. 9, 1955, No. 35453/55. Class 39(1). An electrostatic precipitator cell has a set of alternately charged collector plates 11, 14 and a preliminary discharge electrode which consists of a plate 14a which is provided on opposite sides with ribs 14d, and which is an extension of one of the collector plates or is supported by a bracket from a bracket 18 which supports the collector plates. Voltage terminal 29a fits tightly into a recess in the bracket 17 supporting the other end of the plates 11. The spacing between the pairs of parallel ribs 14d is determined as described in Specification 684,194.
