558,246. Valve generating circuits. STEIN, P. Aug. 22, 1942, No. 11840. [Class 40 (v)] In a radio-transmitter a mechanical or electro-mechanical selector is arranged to bring into circuit one of a number of piezoelectric crystals 4 in pre-tuned circuits associated with an oscillator 5 and a following amplifier stage 7 is provided having a load inductance 8 either air- or ironcored designed to cover the frequency band covered by the transmitter. The output coupling coil is designed to match the transmitter to an aerial designed to cover the same bandwidth. A further wide band high power amplifier may be interposed between the coupling and the aerial.
