556,173. Airscrew spinners. CONSTANT SPEED AIRSCREWS, Ltd., MARSHALL, F. G., and REES, A. March 18, 1942, No. 10492/43. Divided out of 554,453. [Class 114] An elongated spinner 2 for the hub 3 of an airscrew is supported at an intermediate part in its axial length by means of an annular shell 8 extending forwardly of the front of the hub for a distance greater than that between the latter and the centre line of the airscrew, the forward end of the shell being detachably occured to the spinner as by means of pin-and-socket connections 10, 11 on flanges 9, 12. The shell 8 may be made in two transversely divided parts of light section spigoted together and provided with lightening holes 13.
