Abstract

550,016. Thermionic valves. PHILIPS LAMPS, Ltd. (Naamlooze Vennootschap Philips' Gloeilampenfabrieken). June 6, 1941, No. 7197. [Class 39 (i)] To reduce input damping in a high frequency amplifier the distance from the control grid g<1> to the screen grid g<2> is at least 10 times the distance from the control grid to the cathode k, the screen grid being the next electrode to the control grid as viewed from the cathode. The construction is particularly useful in a push pull arrangement with divided control grid. The reasons for requiring the ratio set out above are explained mathematically in the description. The subject-matter is identical with that of Specification 14975/46 as open to inspection under Sect. 91.
