542,377. Capsuling bottles &c. METAL CLOSURES, Ltd., and FINLAYSON, W. B. April 2, 1940, No. 5954. [Class 125 (ii)] To the head 1 of a capsuling device is fixed an adapter 7 carrying an annular set of horizontal radial elements 8, rockable in vertical planes about fulcra 22. The flanged inner ends of the elements 8 embrace a rim 10 on the pressure applying member 2. When the bottle, carrying a loose capsule 4, is pushed up against the spring pressed member 2 the lower flanges 11 flatten a bead 14 of the capsule against the bottle neck.
