Abstract

362,101. Stoppers for bottles. YOUNG, S. D., 41, Sandon Road, Edgbaston, Birmingham. Oct. 21, 1930, Nos. 31541/30 and 6888/31. [Class 125 (iii).] A closure for a bottle &c. of the type comprising a screw-cap and an annular sealing band, is fitted to a bottle having opposite threads 1, 2 on the neck thereof, into engagement with which the cap 4, and the band 10 are spun. The sealing band is weakened by perforations &c. 14 to facilitate removal, and may have a tearing tab 13. A suitable machine for applying the capsule is described in Specification 234,352, [Class 125 (ii), Bottles &c., Filling &c.].
